Vande Bharat Express Speeds Up South: Service Extended from Kasaragod to Mangaluru!

 Good news for travelers in South India! Indian Railways has announced the extension of the popular Vande Bharat Express train route from Kasaragod to Mangaluru. This extension will provide a faster and more comfortable travel option for passengers between these key cities.



Here's what you need to know about the new route and schedule:

  • Route: The extended route will begin in Mangaluru Central and terminate at Thiruvananthapuram Central. The train will make stops at Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, and Kollam.
  • Schedule:
    • Mangaluru Central to Thiruvananthapuram Central: Departure at 6:15 AM, Arrival at 3:05 PM.
    • Thiruvananthapuram Central to Mangaluru Central: Departure at 4:05 PM, Arrival at 12:40 AM (next day).
  • Frequency: The train will operate six days a week, excluding Wednesdays.
  • Commencement Date: The official start date for the extended service is yet to be announced. However, the Railway Ministry has assured that it will be operational "at an early convenient date."
